DJ EPROM

The premiere concert of the album WE ARE THE BIOBOTS by Michał Baj (DJ Eprom), released by U Know Me Records.

The album explores themes of technological progress and the digitalization of human consciousness in the 21st century. Although it addresses issues related to the development of AI, it was created entirely without the use of artificial intelligence.

The record was produced in the analog studio Eprom Sounds and draws on the artist’s personal experiences and his connection to Silesia. A key inspiration was Michał’s work at the KWK Borynia coal mine, surrounded by heavy machinery and mining technology, which became the starting point for a narrative about human–machine hybrids and the directions of technological development.

The album features outstanding DJs from Poland, England, the USA, and Japan, including DJ D-Styles, DJ Prime Cuts, DJ Flip Flop, Proliflix, DJ Tigerstyle, DJ IQ, DJ Miyajima, DJ Melo-D, DJ Ben, Krootki, Daniel Drumz, and Mr Krime.

The premiere concert will take place at Tonarium – a new media laboratory located at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, an innovative space equipped with an immersive sound system. The visual layer is created by Piotr Ceglarek and Jan Dybała, who are preparing visualizations and scenographic elements based, among others, on CRT televisions and oscilloscopes. The album cover was hand-drawn by renowned graffiti artists, who will also present their works during the event.
