OPENING OF TAURON LAB

On September 15-17, 2023, the New Media Laboratory – Tauron Lab began its operations in the building of the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice.

The shows began with the presentation of Tonarium – a futuristic tool for working with sound, which is the heart of the newly created space. The possibilities of innovative 3D sound reproduction systems and virtual acoustics were also demonstrated, and the opportunity to visit the studio with the control room and vocal booth was organized.

During the opening of the laboratory, the interactive installation FLUX by Ksawery Kirklewski was also presented, the premiere of which took place at Miami Art Week in the USA. The event was accompanied by new media works by the tani_projekt duo (Kacper Mutke, Michał Urbański), which combine the art of sound and visualization.
