WE ARE ONE

We Are One is not just an exhibition – it is an experience of community in the digital age. At a time when artificial intelligence becomes a companion to our thoughts, conversations, and decisions, Ksawery Kirklewski proposes a place where technology does not separate us from one another but weaves us together.

The installation at the Ruins of the Victoria Theatre is a monumental artistic response to the question: what does it mean to be together when “together” also includes machines? Entering a space reminiscent of a sacred interior, the viewer is invited to take part in a ritual of presence. A 15-meter LED structure – alive, pulsating, responsive to every visitor – becomes a digital mirror of collective identity. Cameras record images that are not portraits of individuals but fragments of a greater whole – a constantly updated shared “we.”

The titular We Are One is a manifesto of a new form of spirituality – rooted in networked empathy and a profound longing for belonging. Kirklewski does not offer ready-made answers. Instead, he creates a space where questions can resonate: Who are we, when our thoughts echo within algorithms? What binds us as humans, when even our most intimate confessions are directed toward machines?

The installation becomes a place of digital liturgy – non-denominational, yet full of focus and attentiveness. Its soundscape, created live, intertwines with the imagery, shaping an immersive, sensory, and emotional experience. The viewer does not merely observe – they co-create. Every presence is absorbed, transformed, and incorporated into a larger organism. In a world where the boundaries between “I,” “we,” and “it” (AI) are increasingly blurred, We Are One reminds us that technology need not be cold or isolating. It can be a tool of community, empathy, and understanding. For while machines process the data, it is still the human who asks, feels, and longs for meaning.
